San Bernardino Sheriff's Department Patrol Stations

1. San Bernardino Central Station

The Central Sheriff's Station provides law enforcement services to the following unincorporated areas of the central valley including; Arrowhead Farms, Colton, Devore, Muscoy and Glen Helen Amphitheater. In addition, Central Station is responsible for law enforcement in the cities of Grand Terrace and Loma Linda, as well as the San Manuel Indian Reservation and Casino:

  • Arrowhead Farms-located in north San Bernardino, a rural area surrounded by San Bernardino City.
  • Colton County Area-located in the southwest area and includes the Colton Cement Plant.
  • Devore Heights-a rural and mountainous neighborhood located near the northern junction of I-15 and I-215, about twelve miles north-west of San Bernardino, just outside the boundaries of the San Bernardino National Forest.
  • Muscoy-a semi-rural setting with large lots where residents raise horses and other livestock, nursery plants and fruit trees.
  • San Bernardino-area includes various pockets within the city and north of the 210 Freeway extending as far as Highway 138/I-15.
  • Glen Helen Amphitheater-Amphitheater, located in Devore.
  • Grand Terrace-The City of Grand Terrace includes six parks covering over forty-one acres of park space.
  • Loma Linda-The City of Loma Linda, which includes Loma Linda University Hospital and Medical Center, Loma Linda University School of Medicine, The Jerry L. Pettis Veteran's Hospital, National Center for Health/Wellness Research, the Ronald McDonald House, ten parks, five schools and 850 acres of open space.
  • San Manuel Band of Mission Indians Reservation/Casino-San Manuel's Department of Public Safety collaborates closely with assigned deputies and the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office.

2. Adelanto-Victor Valley Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

The Victor Valley Patrol Station provides law enforcement services to the following communities: Adelanto, Helendale, Oro Grande, Silver Lakes, El Mirage, Spring Valley Lake, Oak Hills, Wrightwood and the unincorporated areas of the Victor Valley area not serviced by the cities of Hesperia, Victorville and the Town of Apple Valley.

Lucerne Valley Substation

The Lucerne Valley Substation provides law enforcement services to the following communities: The farming, ranching, businesses and residential areas in the mountain and desert areas which includes the unincorporated areas of east Apple Valley.

Phelan Substation

The Phelan Substation provides law enforcement services to the following communities:
Phelan, Pinon Hills, Wrightwood, West Cajon Valley, and portions of Oak Hills and El Mirage.

3. Apple Valley Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

The Apple Valley Patrol Station provides law enforcement services to The Town of Apple Valley.

4. Barstow Sheriff's Station

The Barstow Sheriff's Station provides law enforcement services to the following communities: Baker, Daggett, Hinkley, Lenwood, Ludlow, Newberry Springs, Sandy Valley, Yermo, Red Mountain, and Trona. 

Deputy Sheriff's from this station regularly assist and are assisted by the California Highway Patrol CHP), Barstow Police Department and the Bureau of Land Management Rangers. They additionally collaborate closely with the Provost Marshal's Office and the Criminal Intelligence Division investigators at Ft. Irwin and the Marine Corps Logistics Base, both located in Barstow Station jurisdiction.

Baker Substation

A satellite substation to the Barstow Sheriff's Station, located in the town of Baker, approximately sixty miles north of Barstow on Interstate 15.

Trona Substation

A satellite substation to the Barstow Sheriff's Station, located in the town of Trona in the Searles Valley, handing calls in the many small desert communities in the northwest corner of San Bernardino County.

The deputies assigned here often work with other agencies, including the CHP, Ridgecrest PD, Kern SO, Inyo SO, State Fish and Game, BLM, China Lake PD, State Parole, and the Park Service from Death Valley.

5. Big Bear Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

The Big Bear Sheriff's Station Patrol Station provides law enforcement services to the City of Big Bear, where it is located, and covers the ski resort areas of Snow Summit and Bear Mountain.

6. Big Bear Lake Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

The Big Bear Sheriff's Station serves the City of Big Bear and Big Bear Valley and provides law enforcement services to the following communities: Big Bear City, Sugarloaf, Erwin Lake, Baldwin Lake, Lake Williams, and Fawnskin.

Jail Facility-A type I jail facility is housed within the county building.

7. Chino Hills Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

The city of Chino Hills contracts with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department for law enforcement services.

8. Colorado River Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

Needles, California 92363

The Colorado River Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station covers an area in San Bernardino County that extends from the Nevada State line south to the Riverside County line and from the Arizona State line on the Colorado River west to Kelbaker Road. The station provides law enforcement services by contract to the city of Needles.

The station maintains two resident posts at Parker Dam and Havasu Landing, and a Water Safety Center at the County's Park Moabi Regional Park. Station personnel are responsible for law enforcement throughout 5200 square miles of unincorporated area as well as ninety miles of the Colorado River.

The Marine Enforcement Unit of the Patrol Station patrols the Colorado River from the Nevada State line to the Riverside County line.

The desert in the jurisdiction's western portion includes Mitchell Caverns State Park, and the Mojave National Preserve.

Three Native American Indian tribes have reservations in the jurisdiction and the Colorado River Station provides law enforcement services to these areas, including the Fort Mojave Tribe in Needles, the Chemehuevi Tribe at Havasu Landing, and the Colorado River Indian Tribe in Big River.

Station personnel work with other law enforcement agencies in the area, including the CHP, BLM, Mojave National Preserve, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Mohave County Sheriff's Department, La Paz County Sheriff's Department, Lake Havasu City Police, and the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Jail Facility-Houses a 30-bed type I jail facility, which takes in all arrestees from the Sheriff's Department, the California Highway Patrol and all the other agencies that arrest under state law on the California side of the river.

9. Fontana Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

Located in the City of Fontana, the Fontana Patrol Station provides law enforcement services to the City and the following communities: San Antonio Heights, Mount Baldy, Rosena Ranch, Lytle Creek and Bloomington. Fontana deputies work closely with the surrounding agencies of Fontana Police, Rialto Police, Upland Police, Rancho Cucamonga Police, Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, Riverside Sheriff's Department, and the California Highway Patrol.

Based upon the large coverage area and services provided by the Station, volunteer units such as the Explorers, Line Reserve Deputies, Citizens on Patrol, West Valley Mounted Posse, and the West Valley Search and Rescue Team, also provide services to local and adjoining communities.

10. Hesperia Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

The city of Hesperia contracts with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department for its law enforcement services.

11. Highland Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

The city of Highland contracts with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department for its law enforcement services. The Highland Station is reportedly one of the busiest stations within the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department in terms of calls for service, arrests per deputy and reports per deputy.

As part of the Sheriff's contract, the station, its personnel, and the community reportedly have access to specialty resources offered by the Sheriff's Department, including the following: Narcotics, SWAT, Arson-Bomb, Crimes against Children, Homicide, Scientific Investigations/Crime Lab, Aviation, Volunteer Forces/Search and Rescue, and the Major Accident Investigation Team.

12. Morongo Basin Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

Located in Joshua Tree, the Morongo Basin Station is reportedly the third largest Sheriff's station in both area and total number of calls for law enforcement services in San Bernardino County. The station is also responsible for providing law enforcement services to the incorporated communities of Twenty-nine Palms and the Town of Yucca Valley, as well as the unincorporated communities of Morongo Valley, Landers, Johnson Valley, Joshua Tree, Wonder Valley, Pioneertown, Amboy, Cadiz and Flamingo Heights. The Morongo Basin includes the Joshua Tree National Park.

The large United States Marine Corps base is located within the city boundaries of Twenty-nine Palms (known now as the Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command). The San Bernardino Sheriff's Department has joint law enforcement jurisdiction and authority on the base and works with investigators from its Naval Criminal Investigative Service.

Jail Facility-The station is part of the county's Law and Justice Complex located in Joshua Tree and houses a "Type I"; jail capable of housing seventy-nine inmates.

13. Needles Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

Needles contracts with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department for law enforcement service. 14. Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

The City of Rancho Cucamonga, with a population of over 177,000 people, contracts with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department for its law enforcement services.

15. Twentynine Palms Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department contracts with the City of Twentynine Palms, and its unincorporated areas for its law enforcement services.

16. Twin Peaks Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

The Twin Peaks Station covers a large area the majority of which is within the San Bernardino National Forest. The patrol area stretches from Lake Silverwood to Lake View Point and includes the towns of Crestline, Lake Arrowhead, Running Springs, and many smaller communities. Marine Enforcement teams patrol Lake Arrowhead and Lake Silverwood.

17. Victorville Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

The Victorville Station provides contract law enforcement services for the City of Victorville. It is responsible for providing public safety services to a geographical area of more than seventy-four square miles and to a population of about 115,000 residents.

18. Yucaipa Sheriff's Dept. Patrol Station

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department provides law enforcement services for the city as well as the neighboring communities of Angelus Oaks, Forest Falls, Oak Glen, and Mentone. The city of Yucaipa is located in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains. Located within the city are fourteen city-operated parks, an equestrian center, as well as a state park and a regional county park for swimming, and fishing

Yucaipa Station personnel have the added responsibility of providing security to the citizens who frequent the unincorporated area that surrounds the city.  This includes scenic Oak Glen, Forest Falls, Angelus Oaks, Mentone, and the San Gorgonio Wilderness. The San Gorgonio Wilderness contains over twenty-eight designated camps, 8 United States Forestry Service (USFS) public campgrounds, numerous public hiking trails, and dry camp locations.
